Our clients came to us with furniture that already held sentimental weight—mid-century modern pieces with decades of history. Through our interior design process, we reupholstered, refined, and reintroduced these heirlooms into a sophisticated palette of bold, playful colorways.
Retro soul meets vibrant, intentional texture. With custom textiles and curated lighting weaving through every room, every space was deeply considered and given something to say.
The feeling first. Everything else followed. The vintage pieces stayed; everything else evolved.
This family was moving into a a new home and wanted to make sure they were able to utilize some of their favorite pieces that had been with them since the 60’s. They trusted us to breath new life into those pieces.
In the den the trim and molding were painted the same color deliberately which let the sofa’s soft color play nicely. To create a comfortable, lived-in feel, we chose velvet fabric for the wood-frame sofa and hung warm ivory linen drapes to soften the windows and maximize the natural light.
The client brought their own art including a patinated copper Aztec calendar, imported from Mexico and gifted years ago, that peers through the doorway like it was always meant to be there.
Balancing Pattern Across Connected Rooms

Our clients wanted to bring the beauty of greenery and florals indoors, making botanical patterns a focal point for both the dining room and breakfast nook. To create a cohesive flow between these connected spaces, we focused on balancing the scale and color palette of the wallcoverings so the rooms feel intentionally linked yet uniquely individual.
We added a whimsical botanical wallpaper to the breakfast nook, pairing it with cantilever chairs reupholstered in family-friendly velvet. The fabric was chosen specifically for its durability, keeping the space practical for everything from gardening breaks to mornings with donuts and the grandkids.
Throughout this Houston home, we used a curated mix of sculptural globe lights, pendants, sconces, and bedside lamps to tie the spaces together. These intentional lighting selections create a consistent design thread, illuminating the custom textiles and mid-century modern furniture from the day's first morning light to the evening's final hours.
For the primary bedroom design, our goal was to seamlessly integrate mid-century furniture the clients had loved for years. To ensure the new color palette complemented rather than competed with these sentimental pieces, we selected a meditative blue wall color. By wrapping the custom paint across all the trim and window frames, we perfectly framed the morning light and the view of the outdoor greenspace.
